All of my original pilots are wildly different from each other and I’ve been worried because my agent’s been encouraging me to “find a niche.” After reading your piece, I’m thinking, “Why do I listen to my agent anyway?” :)

I have to find 10,000 hours. But you’re right. It’s the truth- about every situation that plays out in our lives that can be a one act. The truth about our childhoods that can make a film- and the authenticity of our upbringings that can make a series and the characters the world has never seen before — because only we know them– “like that”. 10,000 hours please come to me!! I have said that same exact prayer to God– I’ve asked Him to lift this artistic dream and show me the way to what He wants me to do– woke up the next morning to an audition :) .
