Your pseudo-documentary style horror film sounds a lot like the Blair Witch Project format, so that also gives us some insight as to what you want to shoot. By Special Effects you need to be more specific, also. Do you mean green screen (ChromaKey) effects? Or do you want realistic 3D monsters popping out of people's bodies?
