Art of the Narrative Pitch

Art of the Narrative Pitch
Sunday, September 15th, 2013   11:00AM - 11:45AM
Bruno Walter Auditorium - 111 Amsterdam Avenue

Be the armchair executive and greenlight the projects in this game-show style workshop.Industry experts who make a living off giving the greenlight will discuss the pros and cons of these select narrative pitches.

You can also throw your hat in and pitch your own idea! Enter your pitch for a chance to get valuable feedback on your project's first impressions and win a one-year subscription to Filmmaker Magazine & IFP membership.

Three total filmmakers with narrative feature screenplays will be selected to pitch live - two in advance and one from the audience. Writers will have two minutes to give their pitch to the panel who will then dissect it.

Presented in partnership with Filmmaker Magazine.

To Submit Your Pitch: Send your pitch (30 words max), project title, your name, and the genre of your project (sci-fi, dark comedy, western, etc.) by 6pmEST on Friday, September 6 to coordinator@ifp.org, with the subject line ‘Art of the Pitch’. Overlong pitches will be disqualified. Submitting pitchers must be able to attend the Filmmaker Conference. The two filmmakers selected in advance to pitch will receive one free Conference Day Pass on Sunday, Sept. 15.
